Helle Pedersen is Lecturer in Geophysics at University Joseph Fourier, Grenoble. She got her Master's at the University of Aarhus, Denmark, and a Geophysics Engineering degree from the Ecole and Observatoire de Sciences de la Terre in Strasbourg, France. Her Ph.D. was carried out at the university Joseph Fourier, specializing on numerical modeling of seismic site effects. The principal focus of her present research is surface wave propagation in complex media, seismic imaging and signal processing. She has coauthored over 40 papers in peer reviewed international journals. Helle Pedersen is involved in starting up the French National Broadband Network and she is presently responsible for the Solid Earth Research Master's degree of the University Joseph Fourier.
