Francisco Crisafulli is Professor of Structural Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Cuyo, Argentina, and Head of the Structures Laboratory at the same institution. He graduated from this university as a civil engineer and received his PhD from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, under the supervision of Prof. A. Carr and Prof. R. Park. 
His main research interests are seismic design and retrofitting of structures, nonlinear dynamic analysis and experimental investigation of the seismic behaviour of reinforced concrete and masonry structures.
Dr. Crisafulli is also a Professional Engineer in Argentina and he has been actively involved in the design and retrofitting of buildings, nuclear plants and bridges.
